    Indo Danish Tool Room (IDTR) conducts AICTE approved Diploma courses, NCVT approved ITI courses, NSQF courses, Short duration vocational courses for engineering students, provides Training in Tool Engineering and provides integrated solution in Tool Engineering with its state-of-the-art Manufacturing and Training facilities and also provides consultancy services to the MSMEs and other industries.

  3. What are the fees of long term courses?

    • The tuition fee of every semester is ₹18000/- (For Diploma Courses)
    • The tuition fee of every year is ₹ 25000/- (For 2 years ITI Machinist Course)
    • The tuition fee of every year is ₹ 21000/- (For 2 years ITI Fitter Course)

  4. Is there any Scholarship scheme?

    All the Courses approved by AICTE, NCVT or NSQF Compliant are free for SC/ST Candidates. Bank Loans are also available for all the courses.


  5. How to apply for Short Duration NSQF courses?

    Filled in Application form along with the Registration fee of Rs 1000/- is to be submitted at IDTR office by post or in person.


  6. How do I cancel my registration?

    Registration fee is non refundable.


  7. Is there any entrance test for admission to NSQF courses?

    No, Admission is based on First come First serve basis.


  8. How to apply for Diploma and ITI courses?

    Advertisements are published in the leading News papers before the start of the session. Prospectus and application form (part of prospectus) can be downloaded from our website. However, to apply, candidates are required to send filled in application along with Demand Draft towards the cost of prospectus. DD should be in favour of “Indo Danish Tool Room” payable at Jamshedpur.

    Prospectus and model question papers can be obtained in person from IDTR Office by paying cost of prospectus.

    Those who want to avail Prospectus by registered post should send self addressed A-4 size envelope with Registered postal stamp affixed on the envelop along with DD towards the cost of Prospectus.


  9. When does the session for Diploma courses begin?

    Diploma courses begin from 1st of July every year.


  10. When does the session for ITI courses begin?

    ITI courses begin from 1st of August every year.


  11. Whether Aadhaar Card is mandatory requirement?

    For all courses conducted at IDTR candidates have to submit the copy of Aadhaar card compulsorily at the time of admission.


  12. What is the eligibility criteria for admission to Diploma courses?

    Eligibility:

    (I) Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ University with Mathematics and Science (Physics and chemistry or both) with min. 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST / OBC /physically handicapped). Candidates awaiting results of 10th classes can also appear for the written test but the result should be available at the time of admission.

    (II).Age:-Between 15 to 19 years (relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/Physically handicapped up to 22 years) as on the date of start of the course.


  13. What is the selection procedure for admission into Diploma courses?

    Selection is made on All India basis at two levels, Preliminary & Final.


  14. Is there reservation for SC, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates?

    Yes. The reservation policy is as per Govt. of India norms. However the candidates have to produce documentary evidence of their belonging to that particular category.


  15. Who is the authority for issue of caste certificates?

    SC/ST/OBC candidates have to submit caste certificate issued not below the rank of Magistrate/ SDM/ SDO.


  16. What is the criteria for selection of Physically handicapped candidates?

    Physically handicapped candidates should be able to stand without any support and work with both the hands freely. They should be capable of wearing safety shoes.


  17. In case of non receipt of admit cards for entrance examination, do you provide duplicate admit cards?

    Duplicate admit cards will not be issued to any candidate. However, Those opting to avail Admit cards by hand, should come personally with the prospectus/ Receipt to collect their admit cards.

    IDTR is not responsible for postal delay.


  18. Whether Hostel accommodation is available for outstation candidates?

    Boy’s and Girl’s Hostel is available for outstation candidates subject to availability.


  19. Whether IDTR is having any Placement Cell?

    IDTR has a placement cell.


  20. Does the course price include travel and accommodation?

    Course prices do not cover travel or accommodation costs.  You are responsible for making your transportation and stay arrangements.


  21. What payment methods are accepted?

    We accept payment online via Credit Card, Debit card through SBI Payment gateway & Draft. Cash transaction is not allowed at IDTR.


  22. What is the minimum % age of attendance required to appear for the Semester Examinations for Diploma and ITI courses?

    The attendance should be minimum 80%.


  23. Do you have your extension centers, if so kindly give the details.

    Yes, we have our extension centres at Patna and at Varanasi.


  24. Where are the extension centres located?

    At Patna, we have Tool Room & Training Centre at Patliputra Industrial Area. Near Patliputra Govt. Polytechnic Campus and MSME-DI Campus.

    At Varanasi we have MSME Samsung Technical School at Chandpur Industrial Area in MSME –DI Varanasi Campus.


  25. What activities are performed in your extension centres?

    At Patna, we conduct Diploma courses in Tool & Die Making, Diploma in Production Engineering and Diploma in Mechatronics. Besides these we also conduct all the NSQF courses and short duration courses and corporate courses which are conducted at IDTR Jamshedpur.

    We also have Hostel facility for Girls and Boys and Placement Cell.

    The session for Diploma courses at Patna also begin from July every year.

    At Varanasi we conduct NSQF compliant Samsung approved courses on Audio Visual, Refrigeration Air conditioners, Home Appliances and Hand Held Products of Samsung.
